Only a handful of the underwater photographs shown on this site were taken using a film camera. Several years ago I switched from a Sea & Sea Motor Marine II with a YS-90 strobe to a digital camera.

The digital camera that I am using now is an Olympus 5050Z (5 megapixel). Underwater I use an Ikelite housing and one Ikelite DS 150 substrobe. This camera took all of the "land" pictures and a vast majority of the underwater pictures on this site.

I am no expert on underwater camera equipment and would never recommend one camera manufacturer over another. These are the only two cameras that I have ever used. However, I do feel that for my use, even with the delayed shutter release, this digital camera is far superior to the film camera. The trick, of course, is to get all the camera settings set up properly.
